Outlook 2013 will not let me add accounts

I have several email accounts that (sort of) work under Live Mail.  Since I hate live mail,  I want to set up these accounts under Outlook 2013.  I was able to set up the main account ok, but I cannot get any of the others to work.  I know all of the passwords, etc. The automatic set up does not work.   When trying to set up the accounts manually I get the error message that says the attempt to connect to the server failed.

When I try to unsubscribe from certain newsletters, I get the message "Outlook could not complete your request as this time", and gives no reason as to why.  Does anyone else have this problem?

WP8 Missing contacts from outlook.com

I have my outlook.com account grabbing contacts from gmail, linkedin, facebook, Skype, and messenger. I can see all the contacts in the outlook.com people section. Non filtered list there.


But when I am syncing my phone, it doesn't pick up the grabbed accounts from those other services. It just gets the ones that are originally from outlook.com/Hotmail.com.


I am using a Lumia 920. How can I use Outlook as my sole source for contacts & calendar?

How can I access my hotmail account without having to sign in to Microsoft each time?

Why can't I see the top options as discribed.  I don't have any of the options at the top.  When I click on an email in the inbox I don't get the options to forward reply, etc.  Please help.  Many thanks.
