Received messages missing from client download

I have a number of messages in my Live/Outlook(?) Inbox which did not download to my email client. I discovered these when I knew that the senders had sent them as I can see them in the Inbox, but I have not seen them in the client.  How do I mark these so that they will download?

 

Running XP-Pro SP3 all updates to 07 Feb 2013.  Client is Outlook Express [I know - unsupported!]

cuando entro a cuentra de Hotmail y quiero leer los mensaje no me abren se queda abriendo pero no me abre que puedo hacer para resorver esta inconveniente

Не мога да настроя пощата си за превод на говоримия ми език,тъй като в инструменти въобще не съществува подобна операция.С Google и другите браузъри нямам подобен проблем,там всичко е перфектно и работи като швейцарски часовник.Дори около два месеца опитах с Outlok,но и там е същата бъркотия относно превода.Ако престана да използвам пощите си към Internet Explorer браузъра,ще се отрази ли на  ползване мрежата в останалите браузъри.Има и друг вариант,например както ползвах преди Hotmail чрез Google браузъра и нямах проблем с превода.Извинявам се,че отнех доста от личното Ви време,но съм безсилен без Ваша помощ да се справя.

While I was composing an e-mail the screen suddenly displayed tiny font and I don't  know how to fix it.  I cannot read my e-mails now because the font is too small>

Most of the Junk Mail I receive contains "contacts-" at the beginning of the From: address. Example:  *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  How can I Block any address starting with "contacts-"?
