what does login with https mean?

What the heck does that mean: "Log in with https?"

 

Could not find a definition/explanation. Would that change my log in ID? my e-mail address? the e-mail address I tell others?

 

The only time I see https is before "www" to indicate a web page. I've never seen an e-mail address with "www" so how/why would you use https?

 

(If it's so important, why isn't it explained?)

what is the “Archive” and SkyDrive

The Archive button pops up sometimes and I don't know what it is for.  Also what is skydrive.

I have tried from different computers and different browsers, no change. Also verified there's nothing wrong with the settings as it's possible to log in to other accounts from this computer. 
Anyone got suggestions as to what might be wrong?

M.S. SWITCHED ME TO OUTLOOK.   SINCE RECEIVING MAIL THRU THIS PROGRAM I AM HAVING SPAM ISSUES.   THE PAST FEW DAYS MAIL IS BEING SENT FROM MY ACCT.   I CANNOT CHANGE MY E-MAIL (HOTMAIL) ADDRESS WITHOUT NOTIFYING A # OF PEOPLE.   MY SECURITY PROGRAM IS EXCELLENT SO I QUESTION IF THERE IS A WEAKNESS IN THE OUTLOOK PROGRAM.    ALSO ANY SUGGESTIONS ON CHANGING THE E-MAIL PROGRAM WITHOUT LOSING MY CURRENT ADDRESS.

When I receive junk mail I put it into block sender.  I want to know how can delete all the junk I put into block sender???
