Is there any published information on the limitations of shared files when using SkyDrive?
In all below examples, I tried the option of making the uploaded files available to others without requiring login.
- I was able to upload a file of 150 MB (a pdf file) and made it available to others for download; it did work without having to login.
So this was OK.
- I was able to upload a file of 1500 MB (a FLV file; not Copyrighted material) as above, but this time login is required.
Why?
- I split (using 7z compression tool) and uploaded a 400 MB file (also FLV) into 4 files; the first of these files required login, while the other 3 files could have been downloaded without login.
Why?
- I also created a large encrypted zip file (700MB) containing a project (source+executable+pictures..) and have it uploaded. It did require login.
Why?
I do not understand what the
rules of share without requesting login are.
Can anybody make these clear? Is there a document that I can read?
I feel that without knowing the rules this SkyDrive is pretty much unusable, at least as far as I am concerned.

I've had this Hotmail account for 2 years and suddenly I can't access it from my home page. I've changed my password a half a dozen times and I still cannot get into my Hotmail account. All I want is to be able to access; ****@hot***.com, ****@i***.com,
and ****@ou****.com. Currently you won't let me in any of this accounts, how can we solve this?

I am not sure if this description is correct but after logging out from Outlook mail and closing window there are windows still open from a few emails that were opened. Sometimes there are quite a few like 5 or more. If this makes any sense is there a
way to correct this issue?

1. Trying to find a way to contact someone about this matter has been a maddening experience. It has taken me almost half a day.
2. This complaint is in regards to the adchoices bar on the right hand side.
(I see that on the FAQ, this question has been asked several times and no one answered.)
You say in your video that you need to make some money to offer a free web mail.
But I think you go way over board in doing so.
You are making plenty of money in other areas of your business.
You had no ads for many yrs and you made many tons of money.
You are just getting greedy.
By being hoggish, overbearing and interfering, you are encouraging people to make and use free ware.
You are also encouraging people to make and use ad blockers.
3. That ad bar on hotmail takes up three inches of my screen, on my Linux Ubuntu OS.
It takes up so much room that I cannot read the subject line on my hotmail.
Some time ago, there used to be a button that allows me to close the ad bar, if I wanted to.
Now there does not appear to be one.
Please install a clearly visible off button on adchoices, so that I can have control over the ad bar.
On one hand, it is one thing to advertise, but it is another thing if you take up so much of my screen that it encroaches and interferes with the use of my screen, so much that it renders my use of hotmail page all but useless.
You should also include an easy "on screen button" to report spam.

There are a couple of bugs that I am aware of now:
1. that is if I cut and paste a link on the first line of the hotmail email text section, it will not scroll down.
It stays stuck in that position.
If I write some text there, I can move it down as I require.
But not a link.
2. I would like to "copy" an email address from the email address bar, if I want to.
It does not allow me to do that.
Please allow that function.
That is all that I can think of now.

I have just logged into my hotmail email after a few months inactive and discover I am now on outlook and everything has gone. All my emails, all my folders - the only thing I can find is my contacts.
I have searched the internet for an answer so before you start giving me the stock replies, I have already checked the deleted messages and tried to recover them and that does nothing. I have used my hotmail account within the last 6months so it is not due
to inactivity. My account has not been hacked. I have not changed my account name. I am logging in the exact same way I always have... so please do not give me the same answers that seem to be cut and pasted into every reply from the moderators. I really need
to access my emails for important business information.
I was forced to switch to outlook is seems... but if you are telling me I had to check my account within 10 days of it being forced over to outlook then that is just ridiculous. This is an old account I have had for over 10years.
Please help with something constructive and helpful.... not the stock replies.
