Two days ago, I log into my account - all is well
Next day I log into my account and by mistake type a password for my computer account log in, ONCE, then I immediately input the correct password, and there you have it - account blocked, in the name of security.
What kind of a security measure is this exactly? The only malicious activity here is outlook preventing me from accessing my account.
"Because there have been multiple unsuccessful recovery attempts for this account, we recommend at this point that you create a new account."
So I input the correct password, but just because I can't recall every little detail in this questionnaire I can't access my account?
Why should I make an email account that I won't use to restore another email account? What if I lose the detail of that back up account because I never use it, then I need a 3rd account, and a fourth for that too.
I'll never share my payment methods and mobile phone details with outlook, so even though I know the correct password I don't seem to deserve to use it according to outlook security.
Only thing that keeps me at peace is that my emails are backed up on my phone, otherwise this would've been a major inconvenience.
So long outlook, I hope you will improve, but I won't be counting on it.
I recently upgraded from Live Movie Maker to Movie Maker 2012.
I had been using Live Movie Maker with no problems editing my MPG files. I need to split and trim them for my projects. I was having no big problems doing this. Now whenever I add MPG files into Movie Maker 2012 they play for a short time, if I jump to where I need to split it might crash or when I split the program crashes and a box saying "Movie Maker is taking longer than expected do you want to close?".

I can't be having this as its very important I edit mpg videos. I wish I had never upgraded now. Is it possible to get back Live Movie Maker 2011?
I can no longer open any of my files stored in Hotmail. I was having no problems and then for no reason I can recall, I began getting a GetAttachment _aspxfile=9ab37656-f4b4-47d2-ad62-2..., message every time I try to open a previously opened file attachment.
It asks what I want to do open, save, or save as with the file. When I click on open, it says it is downloading from site afx.ms... . The save and save as options do nothing. this is extremely frustrating as I can not open any of the business files necessary
to conduct my home business. The only addition to the computer has been a new Canon printer which was added the same day that this problem began occurring.
I have used my Skydrive within the last 2 weeks and I had 20 Folders containing hundreds of photos BUT they only added up to a total of about 500Mb so I have 6.5Gb left. This morning I uploaded the 21st Folder and I can see the along with the other 20 Folders OK on my phone. Normally my shortcut on my Windows 7 PC AND my Samsung Tablet takes me straight into my Skydrive Account but unusually this morning it asked me to Sign In - when I did ALL my data has gone and I have 7Gb free to use???? The strange thing is I can see all as normal from my Phone?
I am a photographer and use Skydrive to show potential customers my work so this is totally unacceptable for Microsoft to just delete all my data. Even the links I have sent out to friends etc now gives the following message: "This item might not exist or is no longer available" WHY???
The photos etc are still all visible on my phone as usual - it seems to be the Signing In process that has caused the problems?

My sys is Windows7 with all updates.
1. Unable to locate the skydrive icon either in taskbar or on desktop. Installed 17.0.2011.0627 version skydrive. I'm unable to use the feature fetch files to PC. This is so even after re-installing the app with setup. How can I get icon either on my desktop
or in taskbar?
2. When skydrive web suggests to upload a file (file > 200MB) through PC skydrive folder they are not getting updated in skydrive web folder. How can I do it?

When I send an email to my @outlook.com email address it *never* shows up in Outlook.com web email interface. The message automatically gets forwarded to my primary alias email and I can retrieve it fine using my email program. I checked the settings and there is no redirection set up.
What I would like to be able to do is send an email to my outlook.com email account and have it shown up on the web email interface. The only two emails showing up in my Outlook.com web email are welcome emails from Outlook.com!
Any help would be appreciated.

It's been over two weeks since my email account was hacked, password changed, alternative email and cell number changed so unable to send security code to, in fact the alternative email is .....@nowhere.com which goes to prove it's bogus! ....yet after
repeated attempts with the verify form I get the same response back that my account can't be validated...I have had the account for over ten years and have no idea what the secret question is anymore...I have provided my dob. I can provide ID and computer
IP address but as there is no email or phone support it is useless and I am lost on what else to do...Please don't suggest filling out forms to change password or verify ownership as I have tried repeatedly and then get locked out for 24 hrs after too many
attempts.

Here's my situation, My Xbox live account originally belonged to a friend. She gave me the account and told me to be careful that people had hacked it before and the same people are still trying to get into the account. I went on to personalize the
account to make it my own including changing the Live ID associated with the account (the e-mail was not mine or my friends it was an email left there that belonged to the hacker). I found it impossible to do because whoever hacked the account left parental
settings on and I do not know the password to the parental email. So I would like to know if there is a way to get the parental settings removed so I can change the Live ID so the Hacker can't hack the account again.
P.S: Funny part about this is the guy left his actual address on the account
My other Hotmail account has been blocked and I need some very important emails from it I've tried all the usual avenues and was advised by the Microsoft twitter page to post on here to see if a moderator could help me without the emails my son could loose
his licence they are so important to me if only I could get on for half hour to forward the emails tp this account so I could save them it would help
