Since yesterday my email has stopped working on Windows live with the following message:

 

Server Error: 4402 Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00002

 

I seem to be able to send emails but not receive them? Please help!

Error code received:

 

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'Fw: Shriner's Trip to Topeka, Kansas', Account: 'pop.charter.net', Server: 'smtp.charter.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

 

I can send the same emails through a gmail account, but with windows mail, there are the above codes I receive after it times out.

I have tried the idea of changing the port from 25 to 587. no good.

 

Any others ideas?

Renaming member e-mail account from admin center domain administration

Hi I have configured Microsoft Admin Center to be my Company's Mail exchange domain but am facing some few challenges.
  1.  I would like to know how I can Edit the details of the members accounts from the admin center administration panel, i.e the Name, the password, the e-mail address associated with the account.
  2. I would like to know how i can configure the log in part such that the members do not have to put the whole e-mail address as the username i.e to eliminate the @mydomain.com post-fix of the e-mail address.
  3. How do I create e-mail alias of a custom domain e-mail account for a custom domain account i.e an alias *** Email address is removed for privacy *** for *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I would highly appreciate if I can get assistance for the above challenges.

1) tried sending code to her phone...unfortunately she (a technophobe) has her land-line as the number (not her cell).

2) security question not accepting CORRECT answer

3) tried to fill out form with as much as she (a technophobe) could remember....not enough for them!

Hi,

Please assist in providing the ip addresses, dates and times that logged in to my account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** from 29th May 2013 to 3rd June 2013. My account was compromised. The account password was changed, possibly deleted and then reinstated during the dates indicated above..
I have since managed to login and reset my password but I need to have a record of what really went on with my account from 29th May 2013 to 3rd June 2013.

Hi,

I'm sure this question has come up many times before so sorry for repeating it. All of my emails prior to 2010 have been lost (started hotmail account in 2007). Nothing has changed with my account, nor has there ever been a long period of inactivity. As far as I know the account has never been hacked (I use it most days) so I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a set age on emails when MS decide to delete them or if anyone else has experienced this before?

I've asked the same question a while ago but all I was told was that they weren't sure why this happened.
