It is frustrating to say the least. I don't need to see a full from address. I want to see the full subject in my inbox.
The only part I can adjust is the left side, where the folders are. Of course we can't slide over on the right, as far as I can tell - Microsoft doesn't want us to cut out the annoying ads over there.
So for about a week now i have been trying toget my account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** unblocked coz it was blocked for some unknown resason and its stupid that it was. I cant do any of the things you staff has asked me to and linked me to 50 times aday after i say i can't do them coz they dont listen to me. I made a Service Request and when i go to it ican see the dam thing so i made a new one and the same thing overt and over again its like you don't listen to what i am teling you in the actual request....

thats the responce but it says *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is not allowed to view this incident ? THEN HOW CAN I SEE YOUR REPLY IF I CANT SEE IT??
Please just unblock teh account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** or send a code to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** so i can reset it.
I renamed my primary alias from @hotmail.com to @outlook.com, and now when I try to rename it back, I am getting an error message: There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.
I'm aware that I would need to delete the @hotmail.com alias that was created when I changed to @outlook.com, however, my original @hotmail.com email address is not listed under aliases.
Edit: I have another alias @live.com. I tried to check if I could delete the @hotmail.com alias from my account (assuming it's just hidden from the aliases page) by using the F12 dev tools to change the javascript source for the remove link to pass through the @hotmail.com alias instead of @live.com (I tested this several times successfully with other aliases)
That delivered me to this page:
"We're unable to retrieve information for this section at this time. We're sorry for the inconvenience, please try again later."
Leaving me to believe that the @hotmail.com alias is not attached to the account.
I am still receiving emails sent to it, however
- You need to cancel any paid services or Microsoft Points account associated with your Microsoft account.
Resolution needed: I need a support engineer to go into my account and make the alias the primary and the current primary, an alias - or remove it entirely if that's what needs to be done.
Why: Due to the primary address not containing a Microsoft domain I am unable to sign up for such Microsoft services as "add-free Outlook".
Reasoning: It is fundamentally unreasonable that I must make two separate Microsoft accounts to experience the full range of Microsoft product offerings because you encouraged me to use an existing email address to create my Microsoft Account at the time of purchase of MS Office Home Premium.
I think we can all agree that there are enough identities to manage for the average on-line consumer already. The entire point of a Microsoft account is to remove redundant/conflicting/different "versions" of the same customer.
Please let me know what the next step is to resolve this issue. Add removal from Outlook is a deal-breaker for me and I am currently choosing which platform to base all my Cloud dealings with - Google or Microsoft.
Thank you for your time.
