WLM contacts allows you to give a "county/region" in the address but this is never subsequently shown as part of the address.  Unless I've missed something, this appears to be a mistake in the programming.

To elaborate, in WLM contacts you can edit to incorporate a Street address, City, County/region, Postcode.  But when you view the Contact summary, the County is not shown.  Similarly, if you view the Contacts as a detailed list, you can select columns to include "Home Street Address" and "Home City, County, Postcode".  But the latter column always omits the County, despite specifying it.

This is a small problem but ought to be corrected.  It may have arisen because "County" is a less important part of a postal address in the US than in the UK (where I live).  But it is clear that the County is intended to be used and shown, since it is specifically mentioned in the Column offering.  NB. If you are looking at this in the US, you are unlikely to see the problem, as your addresses will be formatted differently - eg. you will have Zip Code instead of Postal Code, and while you may also be able to record a County, it will not normally be shown in summary since your addresses do not normally include them.

Thanks

Recently, Outlook has removed the linked accounts feature, the one where you could log on to one email and be able to hop over to another with a simple click. You wouldn't need to log out and log back in or type in any passwords after the accounts were linked. I, like many others, received an email as a warning saying that Microsoft was removing that feature from Outlook. Being the busy person I was, I didn't have time to really prepare for something like this, so when my accounts were all unlinked, I couldn't remember the passwords for a couple email addresses that were rather important to me.

Allow me to shed some light on the background information. Skip ahead a few paragraphs to get to the question.

One of my emails, the one that I use for all my online payments, my bills, my 'whatever' email, was my very first email address, one I have been using for almost a decade. I made a couple other emails, one for business, another for a couple online stuff. The problem is, the password to my business email was very simple to remember, the one for a couple online stuff took a bit to remember, but my email that I use for all my bills, online payments, and everything else was the hardest.

Initially, when I tried to get back into that account, I didn't think right away to send a password reset to my business email, I instead went right for account recovery request, which was a very bad idea. When I said I've had this email for almost a decade, that means when I made the account I put in an address I don't live at anymore, I put in an age that was more than likely not my real age, and I set up a security question with a very vague answer.

I don't use this email for sending stuff, it's only for receiving, I don't have an xbox account, so I will not have received any emails about xbox live on it, I have no idea where it says I'm living at because I've moved almost four times since I made the email address. I have an idea of what the age I put on it might be, because when I made it I might have tried to set my age at a certain number for whatever reason.

The problem I need resolved is that when I tried contacting Microsoft to fix this, they responded with, and I'm paraphrasing, "we've gathered your information and we'll look it over". That's it, they just looked at it, they didn't respond with a resolution for my issue, they just said we're going to investigate this matter, and then the issue was closed. Is there any way that Microsoft can simply unlock my email for a period of time so that I can log in? During the time the account was locked due to "someone is trying to access your account" I was able to reset the password.

I just want to verify that I can not give up this email, I can not make a new one, I need this email more than anything. I will be lost without this email unlocked. I have set a new password for it, I know all the previous passwords for it, I'm almost sure I can pinpoint down to the month and year of when I made this email. I need this email address back.
Execuse me,
I can not access my skydrive account. I am seeing a warning that it was closed because of a violation of the Microsoft Terms of Use.
And I have contacted the online safety team. They tell me that I was not  in violation of the Microsoft COC or TOU. And suggest me to contact  the technical support team.

The oringinal reply from online safety team is as follows:

Hello,

We have received a recent request to reactivate your account, however, when we checked we noticed that your account does not appear to be closed. We have also reexamined the content and have determined that the files are not in violation of the Microsoft COC or TOU. If you are still unable to access the account there may be a technical issue with it. You can contact the technical support team athttp://answers.microsoft.com/en-us

Sincerely,

Gwen

Can you reopen my skydrive account? It is important to me. Thank you very much!
I'm using the outlook.com app on my HTC oneX and have been for a while now, but for some reason recently everything stopped syncing to the phone. I hadn't changed any settings on my end, but I tried removing my account and recreating it. Since then only my Inbox shows up, with no messages, even though it says it last synced only a couple of hours ago. I can't add my other folders to be synced either. I've read a few similar threads on here, except now I can't view any emails at all. Any ideas?

Thanks

Starting July 28th 2013 I can no longer receive email on the Outlook Web app! My sister is having the same issue and we have had to resort to going back directly to Yahoo to get our mail. I have an att.net email address and have never had issues until the 28th. Please help....!! I can still send email from the web but can not receive any mail.

Is anyone else having this problem. I have changed none of my information and it has worked fine up until July 28th.

Help!
I am trying to make a switch from gmail to outlook but am facing many problems in that.

1) I want to send mails from gmail id itself. In other words, I want people to see that they received the message from that gmail id, though I send it from outlook. The same holds true with my school email id, people should see that the mail has come from my school email id.
I have set up autoforwarding in both the accounts, so I can receive mails from them. But if I send mails, my outlook email id comes in the "from" address, something which I want to change.
PS-My gmail id had a easy option to switch email accounts while sending emails.
PPS-I have added my gmail account in "Reply to-address" but it doesnt help.

2) Importing old mails from gmail. I dont know why you decided to leave your "trueswitch" application but now how do i move all my previous mails to my outlook mailbox.
The information here has helped me solve the problem of going "online".  Everything is good and then next time I want to send/receive it tells me I am offline, so have to go to Internet Explorer again and untick Work Offline.  Having to do it each and every time is a real hassle.  How can I disable this permanently, i.e. until I really do want to "Go Offline".
