Hi!
Unsuccessful at setting up BlackBerry Z10 or Q10 (Carrier: Verizon-USA) to use outlook.com e-mail, whilst my colleagues who use outlook.com via Exchange/Active Sync have set up their accounts successfully. To clarify, I am not using Outlook client on desktop -- only outlook.com. I have not transitioned from a Hotmail account; this is a new outlook.com account.
What precisely are the settings? I understand outlook.com is IMAP, not POP3. Please, do not post replies which include referrals or links to FAQ articles; I have tried all recommended settings and various combinations to no avail.
Appreciate any assistance!
Best regards,
Claire
Hi,
this is more of a support request - I have a group in the list of SkyDrive groups on SkyDrive.com called "Skaut". I think somebody invited me to it sometime, but it appears that it does not exist anymore. When I click it, it tells me "Sorry, the item does not exist or is unavailable". I can't do anything about it. It must be some error in SkyDrive databases caused by migrations. Please remove that group from my list.
The group's URL is https://skydrive.live.com/P.mvc#!/!cid=000947282BFC4F51&group=1 .
And by the way, there are also three groups I historically created with a Windows Live account that was deleted long time ago. I wanted to delete these groups, but it's impossible since my current account is just a co-owner (the owner account no more exists). You may delete these groups as well (I am going to "leave" them, but they will stay there and occupy your storage space):

Hello,
I have just been "promoted" from Hotmail to Outlook.com, it seems, and important mails are getting lost in junk mail.
I used Hotmail simply to transfer from POP to my Outlook 2010 set up which I want to continue to use undisturbed.
I see that on outlook.com, there is no apparent way to turn the junk filter off.
I am certainly not going to the laborious process of approving all my senders.
Is there a solution in the Microsoft mail arrangements anywhere ?

Its as though Microsoft's staff is so inflexible and lacks the ability to understand where the customer is coming from. I even called the Singapore office to ask them for help but the staff, Sabrina, told me that she can only escalate it up by submitting ANOTHER FORM.I was also told that there is no phone support. Unbelievable. So what am I supposed to do now? Form doesnt work, live chat doesnt work, phone call doesnt work. I need to get my email account back urgently! Microsoft is so frustrating.

I thought it is a problem with Microsoft outlook 2013 but it seems to be a problem with outlook.com or Microsoft account.
My @live.com account does not work with Microsoft outlook 2013.
I can send email that others receive but all folders(inbox, sent),calendar and contacts are empty.
In the systray is notification that "Microsoft outlook cannot connect to server".
This account works perfectly on Windows Phone and on the outlook.com
Also, there is no problem on Windows live mail app.
What makes things even more strange is that I have another @hotmail.com account and it there is no problem in outlook2013.
All sync is as should ( mail, contacts, calendar).
However it works on pop3.live.com, but what is the point? I want to have full sync!
I am very disappointed. After one week trying to solve problem with Microsoft office technical support (online chat, phone call, remote connection)
my issue remain unsolved. (They tried set-up various servers settings: m.hotmail.com, blu-m.hotmail.com, dub-m.hotmail.com...all unsuccessfully.)
Despite support and effort from Microsoft Office Outlook tech support , they decided to close my issues as unsolved and advised me to contact 1- 800-386-5550( not very helpful number) or ask on this forum.
I'm hoping that you will have any thoughts, ideas how to tackle this problem.
many thanks for your help.

I tried to reset my password (following spam somehow being sent out from my account) on 1st August 2013.
Unfortunately my alternative email addresses were from ex-jobs and no longer valid.
So I completed the account validation form (several times now!) with AS MUCH info as possible (subjects of previous emails, email addresses sent to, folders created etc). The account recovery request still comes back each time saying that the information submitted is insufficient. I'm in total limbo. I submitted a request for support from Microsoft support team over 48 hours ago and still have not received a response.
PLEASE PLEASE someone help. I have flight info and important documents that I urgently need to access. I can provide the email address of the affected account if needed.
