I have been recieving notifications over the last week for an account which does not belong to me.
The first one I recieed was a notification of a new trusted email address being added, since then I have recieved 5 password reset request emails for this persons account.
I think the confusion has come from the mailing address for this other person is very similar to my own.
If someone form Microsoft could get in touch with me I would appreciate it as I believe this person may be locked out of their account and trying to regain access.
(The alternative being that someone is up to no good and trying to hijack the account)
Hope you can help me/this unfortunate person.

Every once in a while I receive email that seems to belong to someone else. Yesterday I received the following email from Microsoft. This appears to be a valid email. However, my email address is "*** Email address is removed for privacy *** NOT *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Can someone tell me if this is a valid email from Microsoft? If it is, then there appears to be something screwed up in the management of the two aliases. Any help on how to fix this would be great.

Voici ce que j'ai reçu de la part de l'équipe Microsoft après avoir rempli le formulaire de récupération de mon compte,
ceci m'est déja arrivé auparavant et je me souviens avoir trouvé un lien ou j'ai pu rentrer mon numéro de demande (le cas écheant: 96888004 ) et j'ai pu avoir accés directement à la page qui m'a permis de changer mon mon de
passe.
Je m'adresse à vous aujourd'hui pour me donner le lien vers une page web ou je pourrais rentrer ce numéro pour savoir ou en est la procédure de récuperation de mot de passe pour compte outlook.

In Outlook.com I have a contact's picture and personal information that won't delete. Outlook says the information comes from other sources. So Facebook I block, the account is old msn.com account. Ive gone to delete him, his picture, and information.
I need to get rid of this guy.

I am using a PC with Windows 8. I have started using Skydrive with a single folder just to learn how it works.
I have copied a folder to Skydrive. I then added a file to that folder on my hard drive. I have not been able to see that change reflected in the Skydrive. I was anticipating that Skydrive would detect the change and automatically synch. Should I be doing something else?
I was working on a DVD slide show with music and it disappeared from my project file. I think I forgot to save when I exited the program. How do I find this project?
I have read every post on here about this and got zero answers.
Tried troubleshooting with the silly not receiving friends and family post, which clearly would never apply to the reason a computer generated email would not come through from a business that could be blocked on Hotmail's end. However, I still need to access my instagram, so with that said.
I have tried many times to reset my password, and it wont come through. I have checked all filters, nada. I have reset an instagram password through gmail 5 minutes ago and it comes through within 3 seconds, so not on instagrams way. Before you tell me to contact instagram, that is not possible from their website. Before you tell me instagram, must contact Hotmail to fix it, I really can't believe after this question being posed as many times as it has Microsoft hasn't worked something out with Instagram. I have read on other posts that, there e-mail suddenly came through without them changing anything. So whatever was done for those accounts, please do the same with me.
I just want this fix and am losing confidence in Microsoft and Hotmail everyday it is not fixed. As I said, worked no problem through g-mail. Maybe that is where I went wrong, please dazzle me and make me regret that statement.

I'm having issues signing in to any Microsoft services: I set up a custom domain to administer with Outlook.com and I can't sign in to any of the accounts created (I get a "The email address or password is incorrect. Please try again." error).

I tried resetting the password but on that I also get an error that reads "The Microsoft account is incorrect. Please try again."
It seems to me that when I added those accounts they didn't register correctly as Microsoft accounts. How can I solve this?
