About 3 months ago, I received an email from Microsoft to change my password, since then my Hotmail on my iphone 5 will ask me for my password at least twice a day.  I enter the correct password and it fails until I open safari and login manually, that's the only way my Hotmail will authenticate.  I have done everything possible to fix this problem.  I have cleared my history, cookies and safari data, deleted the Hotmail account, re-added the account numerous times, changed my password about 10 times leaving out strange characters.  I know it's not my iphone because I add my husbands Hotmail account and his account works.  I don't have Hotmail added on anything other then my windows 8 laptop.  I have logged out of Windows 8 and it still happens.  I will place the password in settings and it will fail and error with unable to verify account information.  I have tried adding Hotmail on my iphone  by using Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Hotmail and Other with no success.  I have deleted all my email, changed sync settings, etc. I have tried everything possible and now I'm convinced it's a problem with my Hotmail account somehow being locked.  Please check my account.

Thank You

I created an alias for my account. I can see it in the list of aliases. However, I am not receiving emails that are sent to it. I also don't receive an email when I click the Verify button. Please help.
I have had Hotmail forever, now Live, which has stopped working. Since this is my primary email I need to now what is happening and how do I get my email back
I want to set up another email account...how do I do this?

I AM ANGRY: outlook.com keeps setting me AVAILABLE when I want to be INVISIBLE.

(People are pestering me constantly, thinking I am online with SKYPE when I am not... )

This has to be the BIGGEST SINGLE INFRINGEMENT on my personal privacy I have EVER encountered on the internet.

A TRUSTED service like Outlook is constantly setting my "online presence" AVAILABLE in both Outlook chat and SKYPE.

BEHIND MY BACK!!!!!!

No matter how many times I specifically set it to INVISBLE, it keeps popping back to the AVAILABLE Setting.

I have tried the "hosts file hack" workaround, ( 0.0.0.0 geo.messenger.services.live.com ) and obviously it doesn't work

I am ready to cancel SKYPE and cancel My Outlook mail accounts, and for that matter, ready to stop using ALL Microsoft apps and operating systems.

Not just personally, but COMPANY WIDE...

When are you going to FIX this travesty??

Online presence should be INVISIBLE BY DEFAULT, and it should STAY THAT WAY unless I specifically set it otherwise!!!

DISGRUNTLED is putting it lightly...

Hello:

Yesterday there was a problem with Microsoft itself, in accessing hotmail.Today l see they have corrected the problem but now my contact list seems to be gone? When l try to go into "people" to see what's up and or to resubmit the addresses l remember, the people folder won't open and says,"sorry, there is a problem. If this continues, contact microsoft." I contacted them by phone and they directed me here. I'm frustrated and just want to send an email. what do l do please?
thank you

i renewed my outlook/domain name account through a company in AU but i am still not receiving emails please help as this is affecting my business

On the morning of Wednesday, August 14th, 2013, I had the same issues which affected most Outlook users of not being able to access my email from PC or mobile.

Once service was restored, I found that (literally) thousands of emails from my Inbox folder had completely disappeared.  All of my emails which were sorted into folders are still in my account, but all of the emails prior to the morning of August 14th are gone from the Inbox folder.

Considering that I've had my account since the late 1990s (Hotmail transitioned recently to Outlook), there are a lot of emails that were unsorted from the Inbox, and it's really important for me to be able to access those messages.  I've stuck with Hotmail/Outlook even as people have ridiculed me for using the email, but if this is going to be something that can happen, I'll be glad to make my current Gmail account my primary means of communication with people.
