can’t see smilies on messages sent to me

how come everytime someone sends "smilies" on their messages, I can't see them ? only some characters instead ?

Onenote web app notebook seems to be corrupted

Hi,

 

I've been taking all my notes for law school using Onenote, and tonight, I was no longer to open my notebook.  I have a notebook called "WFU Law 1L," and when I try to open it in the Onenote web app, I get an error that says "Sorry, this notebook can't be opened for editing."

 

I've tried this on different computers and with different browswers, but always get the same error.  I use a Mac and don't have the desktop version of OneNote, so I can't open a local copy.

 

I also downloaded OneNote for iPad today, and I am able to see all of my sections in the notebook accept one, which is the Civil Procedures section.  However, since I cannot open the notebook in Skydrive, this will be a big problem if I can't get it resolved.  This notebook contains all my law school notes for the semester, and without being able to access them or edit them, I'm going to be unable to study for my exams.

 

What can I do to get this notebook recovered???  HELP!!

Update - I was able to recover all sections in my notebook except for one, which I have now moved into a separate notebook.  While this has been helpful, I'm still desparate because the one section that is corrupted is the most important section.  I'd be happy to share a link to the section if there is any chance it can be repaired or recovered somehow.

Some files not copied when doing a sync with SkyDrive

Every time I do a sync with SkyDrive, I get a list of files that were not copied. Why can't they be copied? This last one had 203 files in it. It then stops the rest of the progress. When I right click on the SkyDrive icon in the task bar, the "view sync problems" is not available. What can I do about this? It makes SkyDrive unusable for me.

If I upload mobile pictures to SkyDrive, I can see them on my mobile and my browser Outlook but they no longer sync in Windows Explorer in my Samsung Slate running 8.1 and neither in the Windows 8.1 App.

Hi!

I hadn't logged into my hotmail account for a while and just tried retrieving my old password via the Outlook interface with no success.  It said that my @ hotmail address was "incorrect" .  When I registered with Outlook / Microsoft and entered in my old email address, it came back as an error saying that my old email address was owned by a domain (live.com, hotmail.com) already and wasn't available.  I am up a wall , I have no idea what to do

e-mail hacked 6 weeks ago and still no resolution

I posted on this forum a few weeks ago that my e-mail was hacked and everything was lost.  Kim send me a link but when I click on the link it says Microsoft Help and Support but there is nothing on the page.  I have been escalated several times and I don't hear from anyone.  Is there any hope that I will ever get my account back or should I start reconstructing my life with another address?
