how doI get Outlook to require a password?
Ever since outlook came on when I went into my contacts a lot are missing, I didn't the whole recover thing but none came back how do I get my contacts back?
Hi,
Kindly requesting to enable the reset members password option in my domain www.martsme.com that i have created in domain.live.com account.
Ok, I had to get a new laptop because my 8 month old Toshiba died. Both it and this one have Windows 8. and on the Toshiba I did use the Outlook Mail app with out a problem. I set it up, on that laptop and husband's HP windows 8 laptop. So when I got
this Acer laptop a few days ago, I set it up in a similar fashion. In fact I was very happy when I signed into my Microsoft account to see that it simply imported many of my settings like desktop wall paper, favorites etc...
When I got to the mail app, it prompted me for my account info and kept telling me the password was wrong, which it isn't because I can sign into Outlook.com with that information and bring up my mail. I then thought well maybe it wants me to sign in with a actual outlook.com email address so I tried that, said that was wrong. It isn't.

Then last night I some how stumbled upon (while trying to get my password to work and account added) verifying this laptop as a "trusted device" so I did that, successfully. I then shut it all down and thinking I would get it all squared away this morning.
I got up, turned the laptop on, opened the mail app. Um no. Now, it tells me these accounts (I tried both my master email that I use to access mail via web and the outlook.com email address), now it tells me I've already added those accounts. Lovely, except
the mail app is blank. I mean not just no mail, no folders just a big white screen with a blue border and small txt in the bottom left corner saying to add accounts go to settings.
I looked up FAQ for issues, and I tried to sync, thinking that was it, but there is no swiping from the bottom, with finger or mouse (this laptop has a touch screen so I tried both ways).
So what do I have to do to be able to read email in this app? I'm sure it's something stupid I am over looking, but on the outside chance that it is a problem with the app itself, I thought I should seek help.
Thanks
Help!
I am traveling and using various guest ISP's, nearly all of which are at the houses of friends.
I have received a considerable number of messages from the "Outlook.com Team" like the one copied below. These always make me verify my outlook.com account via a "CAPTCHA" before I can continue using it.
This is happening even though I am just e-mailing out the usual kinds of message I would send from my own home. While a few are to a "group" of 20-15 addresses that are also "normal" recipients for me, the majority are just to single
addresses in my address book.
What can be done to stop this annoyance and have Outlook.com permanently treat me as a "safe" sender??
As an aside, I am using Windows Live Mail client on my own computer, and only recently have I noticed that the "synced" contacts in Outlook.com are no longer showing in the on-line "People" area. (I previously synced them via Messenger,)
The address book I am using is the one located on my own computer in WLM. Is it possible that this 'disparity" has caused the problem?
(I have tried to get my computer's address book imported to the Outlook.com area via a .csv file, but haven't been able to get the job done.)
Regards

On 30/08/2013 - Using browser i logged into outlook.com and moved few emails to different folders. All emails were in place.
On 31/08/2013 - Accessed same emails using browser. After few hours opened outlook to check emails. After it finished syncing, i found that those emails have disappeared from server. Now i cant see those emails in browser or outlook.com

For the last few days when I click on outlook.com I end up at a bing search page instead of my mail. What gives?
So since Microsofts "Smartscreen" Outlook decides what is junk mail and what isnt, then does that mean Microsoft looks into the email and reads it ?
Hi,
I tried to log into my email but failed because I got "Someone else is using the account".
Anyways, I entered my security code and now everything's fine.
I just need to know any information about the person who was using my email? which country or any information.
This is important so please respond.
Thank you
Reem
My Outlook e mail used to have the capability to automatically insert a "to" addresses when writing an e mail (would list latest sent/options after typing first few letters). I have lost this on my Desktop, although it remains on my laptop. Help me find a way to "restore". Patrick
