Over the past year or so, I've had at least 3 emails vanish from my Inbox, never to reappear.  There may have been others, but I have no way of knowing.  Any way to get them back?  Anything I can do to prevent it from happening again?  So far nothing has been too crucial, but I might not be so lucky next time.
I've worked with nearly all the Windows programs since Windows 95. The one I liked best was Windows XP. I now have been working with Windows 7 and Word 2011  for the past year or so and have survived with Windows Live Mail.

I have to say, I dislike Windows Live Mail. I live in Portugal and many (not all) messages that I either send or receive do not show the Portuguese characters properly, the coding is wrong and thus the email is often unreadable. I've tried taking my computer to "clinics" but I'm always told that it's a problem with the coding of Windows Live Mail and a weakness with the program.

I adored Windows Outlook and miss it terribly.

I'm reluctant to try a free email program (such as Thunderbird) because I will have problems exporting my emails from Live Mail to it. Can I buy a software from you that will give me an alternative email program?

Hi, I would like to be able to reset passwords for email accounts under my custom domains on domains.live.com.

Thanks in advance,

Juan

Hi, I'm an office 365 user in Sweden with a problem relating to the email function. I am generally very satisfied with the program and extensively use the possibility to build my own structure of folders where I file many incoming emails and in some cases also direct incoming emails directly to the folder concerned.

During the last year it has a couple of times happened that one or two folders suddenly have disappeared from the folder structure to the left of the screen and yesterday the same thing happened to several folders. Checking with the e-mail search function I veryfied that not only the folders but also all emails in them were gone. Connecting to the mail from another computer or my smarphone didn't help.

Do you know the source of this problem and could it be corrected so that the same thing doesn't continue to happen now and then? Of course it would also be a bonus if there was a way to get the lost folders back.

As additional information my computers run on Windows 8.1 and my smartphone, a Nokia Lumia 1020, on the Windowsphone software.

Cannot see how to get help from existing forum.

I have a trial of Office 365 Small Business and therefore an account. I will not continue with it after the trail. I have purchased Office 365 Home Premium and am trying to set up Outllo but get the error '
Error "You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com".

Please advise.

I desperately need everything from August and September back. These are all submissions for a competition which has been lost. It is VERY important that I retrieve them. How can this be done? Very frustrating that Outlook has lost so much data.
I'm tryint to sync thunderbird with my hotmail, using the "imap-mail.outlook.com" and "smtp-mail.outlook.com" settings. But there is no sync possible, if i delete a mail in Thunderbird, it stays in the hotmail account when i log in. Is it only possible to use IMAP if the account is of the outlook  type?
I've recently tried to get back into my account and I have verified it multiple times in the past. However via the security questions it is no longer allowing me to get into my account. This leads me to believe that my account has been taken over. I've tried the reset link, however it shows two emails. One seems to be mine, but the other is an account that I don't recognize. Also when I send the request to send a reset, it does not send it to my other alternate email. This is very frustrating since I've had that account forever, and mainly use it to play games/send auditions/or to hand in school work.
