After much research and no help HERE after numerous postings. I think I can help, or hope this helps!

My emails have vanished from my account, both the send and inbox emails.

I was able to retrieve most of the emails, there is still a group of emails missing dated between August 15th and November 5th, but all the rest up to 18 months ago have returned.

I'll explain simply what I did, hopefully this will resolve some of the issues until MICROSOFT fixes the problem.

...........................

I'm assuming most of us if not all of us have our emails sync'ed to our mobile phones or tablets.

The solution was as easy as this, I went back to the email SYNC on my mobile (Blackberry Q10)  SETTINGS/SET UP EMAIL/ chose the outlook email and hotmail account that have lost emails) then under SYNC TIMEFRAME I chose "forever" over 14 days or 30 days

I rebooted my phone and VOILA all my emails are visible on my phone.
I dont see them on my laptop but I figure meantime for those of us that are in need of recovering a specific email, we can copy and paste it in word or email it back to ourselves.!!

Good luck everyone.. Hope I get the rest back soon.

I HATE outlook. it has been an ongoing pain the ****. in mid october i went to france. i was at the airport waiting to board for paris and decided to send an email to my girl friend. i couldn't. i was told i needed to enter my code since i wasn't using my home computer. security, you know. the fact the NSA has made that a joke seemed to make the situation rather ironic. as well as frustrating. the message gave the last two digits of my phone number and i was supposed to receive my code by phone so i could use my account. i couldn't. same thing happened in france. i had to use an account i have with my provider but which i never use. i'm going to japan november 21st. i suppose i'll have the same problem. how do i solve it? thanks.
I keep getting this message, 'Your signature is longer than the maximum allowed length. Please reduce the length of your signature and save it again.' Does anyone know what is the total length allowed? I keep reducing it but so far no luck. TIA

I am having issues receiving emails to my non-primary alias on my mobile devices (Samsung S4 smartphone and Galaxy Note).  The issue began Monday night 11/4.  Prior to that I was not having any problems.  All emails (to my primary & non-primary alias) are coming through fine to my laptop.  The issue is only with my non-primary alias on both mobile devices.  Emails to my primary alias are coming to both of my mobile devices without issue.  I am using the outlook.com app on both mobile devices, so assuming the issue is with the app?  When I access http://m.mail.live.com to check email from my mobile device, all works fine.   Did something change with the outlook.com app in the last few days?

I forgot the password to my email account. I tried resetting the password by sending a reset link to another email account. Every time I click the link it says there is a temporary problem and try again later. This has been happening for 2 weeks. I've tried 3 different computers and multiple web browsers. All are the same.

I then tried filling out a questionnaire form. Microsoft isn't replying back to me. I've been filling out a form every 2 days for the past week with no reply. I tried again today and I was redirected to a page that told me I've made too many attempts to reset my password and to try again in 24 hours. I also tried having a code sent to my phone but I never recieved a text.

I'm really frustrated and have no idea what to do. I'm applying for school and all my application info is in that email account so I desperately need access to it. Any help would be appreciated.
