I am another Comcast customer and started having a problem some time during the day yesterday. In the morning everything worked. Now I have all my mail downloaded but there is NO message list or preview pane in either of two accounts. I can see the most recent on screen as if opened, but cannot access anything prior to its arrival - unless I delete it! I have unanswered mail that I cannot answer. Someone suggested a system restore but I will lose all the mail downloaded in that time and it no longer exists on the Comcast server. I use Norton security suite supplied by Comcast but that does not appear to be an issue - but Comcast is - they will not handle it unless I sign up for their paid "signature" support - if they even know how!

PS - you cannot notify me at my Comcast address for obvious reasons!!!!!

Our emails do not open when clicked on from our in-box. We cannot pull up any of our files, (junk, reply, send, etc.
Whenever I try to email photos directly from the "email" function of Windows Photo Gallery I get this error message and nothing happens. The full error message is:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (ttglarm) account.
Subject 'cc'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20007
I tried to follow the instructions to "add an account to Windows Live Mail, to just re-add this account, but the instructions didn't work. When I click the Start button and search for "Mail" it just brings up a list of old email messages sent via Windows Live Mail. I didn't see any listing for "Windows Live Mail".
Help!
Original Title: a serious problem with LIve Mail option
Please take a look at the comments on this site:
This has been a VERY common problem with Windows Live Mail since at least Feb 2011. For me it could have been disastrous if I had not found the above site and managed to retrieve 98% of the deleted emails.
Please include a fix in the next Windows update, at the very least a serious double warning, like "All Files will be deleted" and then "Are you sure you want to delete all files in this account?"
Regards,
William
