Hotmail has always worked via my iDevice (an iPhone 4); however, ever since this morning when Outlook started having issues for me, the problem extended to my phone, and even now - with the ability to check my email on my PC - the "Connection to the Server Fails" every time I try to check my account on my phone. How may I go about resolving this promptly?

I try to sign into my account but the front page says there's an issue. Then it talks about mobile blah blah. I don't want my email connected to any mobile device. I just want to use my email regularly, on a PC. I have never connected or suggested I wanted a mobile device for my Outlook. I have sent many reports regarding this. I don't know what's going on. I just want to see my email. Sometimes it lets me in and other times, it tells me there's an issue. It's really annoying.
I cannot send or receive mail from the Hotmail account.  The error I get is:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail account.

Server Error: 5102
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00002

Why does this happen?

whatever microsoft did to hotmail in the last couple days took away my ability to configure hotmail on my ipad and iphone...frustrated
I am a former MSN Hotmail user who was switched over to Outlook.com.  Do you have any idea when my email will be back on line?
I can't open my mail

I am able to get emails in Outlook and on my android, but I am receiving the following error message in Windows Live on my pc: 
Unable to send or receive messages for the http://oe.msn.msnmail.hotmail.com/cgi-bin/hmdata account. 
To send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later.

I have my own existing Hotmail (outlook) e-mail account and I am now trying to create additional e-mail accounts for other family members? Can you provide me the necessary steps?  I attempted to follow directions ("How to add an account in Windows Live Mail") but only got through steps # 1 & 2.  I am not able to Click the "Accounts" tab and then click e-mail in step # 3 as it is no where to be found on the screen after I already typed Mail (in step 1) and click Windows Live Mail (step # 2).

It keeps assuring me that yes, indeed, I was having issues with signing in with my mobile device earlier (true), but that it is resolved now (false) and that everything else is functioning normally (false). My PC-accessed Outlook Inbox froze up mid task. It would let me click on things, but then just keep refreshing the Inbox no matter what I clicked on. I signed out and attempted to sign back in and received this message:

Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now
