I have an e-mail account with ATT, but I use Windows Live Mail 2011, I prefer it.   My problem is that I am now receiving about 100 JUNK e-mails a day. I think some one got my e-mail address some months ago, and sent it to junk e-mail providers.   Here is my question:  How do I change my e-mail address to a new one? Do I have to go to ATT for that.? Thanks
I can not send out email. I am receiving it OK. It was OK yesterday but will not send today. I get error id 0x800CCC0F. I need step by step help.
When trying to access Live Mail I repeatedly am asked for ID and Password when I know they are correct! The screen eventually shows Server error 0x800CCC90, Server Response - ERR[AUTH] (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password and Windows Livemail Error ID: 0x800CCC92.

Hi!

In windows live mail; how do I change the sort order in contacts? I don't want it to sort after private,  I want it to sort after work i e Company name . The moment I add a first name into the Contact field when editing Contacts Windows Live Mail starts to sort after the first name instead of the Company name. I e the company name disappears in the column where you see all the Contacts and instead the first name appears. How do I change this?

Anyone?

Regards, Anders

WLM 2012 has a group of 5 icons to select Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Feeds and Newsgroups. These icons can be changed from a row of 5 icons on the bottom left of the screen or a column of 5 icons with text labels. How are these icons changed to either configuration?

I am using Windowslive mail for a long time. Recently I changed the password in my Hotmail account. Since then I am not able to sign in the Windows Live mail. It takes me to Sign in window, where I type in my Hotmail id and password. This is shown to be wrong. Do I need to change any settings in the Windows? Please help. I am in serious problem. Thanks a lot!

i have had a hotmail account for over 14 years, last night I tried to access it, it is always open on my laptop, I was asked for my password, as it said someone had been trying to access it it, so i typed in my password.  a message came up saying incorrect username or password.  when I tried to follow the steps to change my password, as i started to suspect something was wrong, it said my account doesn't exist.  I have lost over 14 years of contacts, and many important emails, not to mention the loss of privacy.

I tried to contact microsoft directly but they said it has to be done online, I can't do it online, becuase the account doesn't exist, they have stolen all my contacts and my emails.  What do I do ????????

Please help

I see many threads here regarding recovery of contacts, but none that seem relevant to my particular situation, so please excuse me if this has already been answered.

After a hard disk crash I rebuilt my system to this current state...

Windows 7 Professional, 64bit, SP1, WLM Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205)

I believe I was previously running WLM 2011, but am not exactly sure what version it was.

I have a user backup of my old system.

I have already recovered my folders and emails from the backup.

*** I now want to recover my contacts from the backup. ***

On the backup I can see a couple of things that might be relevant, for example...

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts\* - the edb files appear to be small and so i guess are 'empty'.

C:\Users\User\Contacts\user.contact - this appears to have some appropriate size.

I haven't used the Windows Live (cloud) contact facility, now or previously.

I do not have a csv export of the old contacts.

Hope you may be able to help.
