I can not send emails using windows live mail.  When trying to send a message, i get error 550, windows live mail error ID 0x800ccc69.  How do i resolve this problem?

Original title: Error sending message

A few days ago a friend of mine asked why I sent her a specific email, I asked what email? She sent me a screenshot of a spam email from my account. The message was "hey" and followed by a link which looked like a scam/virus. After she told me about that I wanted to go onto my hotmail so I could change my password but I can't log in. I tried doing the "single use code" where they text me a number and I use that, I tried it multiple times and it didn't work, I never got the code even though I double and triple checked that the number was correct. I then proceeded to fill out the form to get a link to change my password, even though I filled in every box correctly, it said I wasn't able to access it. It is my main email address and over half of the email subscriptions I have are to that account. It's been three days since this has happened and I just continue to get frustrated, I had to create another account just to post this. I was redirected to multiple people before getting told to write my question here. I need to access my account and it would be greatly appreciated if you wouldn't redirect me again and helped me, thank you in advance.

Hi,

We seem to be having a similar problem to the one I see about people losing emails in Live Mail.  But we are using Webmail and we are at a loss to know how to resolve the issue.  Can anyone help?

My husband recently started using Windows 7 and was set up with Webmail.  It worked find for awhile but he now has an intermittent problem when sending a reply.  When clicking send, it just disappears.  We can't find either a "draft" or "outbox" folder and it does not show up in the delete folder.

I checked his configuration and he's running the following:

Windows 7

Service Pack 1

IE Explorer 11 ( I believe this upgraded automatically because I see the checked box next to "allow updates".  I wonder that  the system auto updated from 10 to 11 and maybe that caused this intermittent problem.

Until recently we were on dial up and now that we have wireless internet, we just want a stable email for personal use and would really appreciate help.  Otherwise, we'll go back to the shop.

Thank you so much,

For the past few days whenever I try to click on an email to open it, a box pops up that says "A problem occurred while trying to open this message.  A problem has occurred. Please try again".  I don't know what has changed.

I can see the emails in the preview panel.

O/S is Windows 7.

Thanks.

Please help! I  have a desktop computer and a laptop. I use the same email address and user account on both. I need to delete my email account from my laptop only without losing my user account.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

My user name is the same as my email account.

About two weeks ago I updated my computer from XP to Windows 7 and installed Windows Live Mail. Since then I have had the same problem described above happen when I receive mail from several of my financial sources. I have made sure that Windows Live Mail is up-to-date and that these sources are designated "trusted." Whenever this happens I can't get rid of the Security Alert and the only way I can shut down Windows Live Mail is to close it through the Task Manager Program. Then when I start WLM up again I have to be ready to click on delete as fast as I can so that this mail is deleted and doesn't prevent me from reading my other emails. Could someone please tell me what to do next as I need to receive mail from these sites.

I cannot send email to any of my contacts - receiving emails OK.

Message panel below appears when Send button pressed.

"The message could not be sent.

Some of the recipients for this message are not valid.

Please verify the names."

This happens for e new email or when replying. With 1 addressee only.

Addresses were checked and valid.

I ran the Live Essentials repair via Control Panel and no errors detected.

Thanks,

Kevin

In Windows Live Mail Inbox, I usually see a list of all new messages and previous messages not yet deleted. I can click on any one to see the full message text. Now, however, there is no list of messages. Only the text of the latest message shows up on the screen. I tried going in to click "show all messages" and re-booted, but that did not work. How do I restore the list when I bring up Live Mail?
