I am fine with outlook but when I log in windows live mail, sub-folders disappear? How come?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set up a replacement computer and getting all of the programs I like on it. One of my favorite programs is Windows Life Mail, where I have a Hotmail, Gmail and pop account. The new computer is 16GB ram, i7-4770 Processor, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 645, Dell XPS 8700

After loading many programs up, I installed Windows Live essential for Windows 8.1, which included, Windows Live Mail, Movie Maker, Live Writer, and Photo Gallery. Mail seemed to work and I imported my contact list, (this was Sat.).

I noticed a problem starting Sunday afternoon, when I tried to check my mail. there was a warning saying a Live dll was missing, (I don't remember which one). A windows troubling shooting site said to remove mail and other Live essential programs and reinstall them. I did that and now I am getting this message when I try to load Live Mail:

This a text version  of the error message.

wlmail.exe - Ordinal Not Found

(RED circle with a white X in the middle)

The Ordinal 52 could not be located in the dynamic link library

C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared\UXCore.dll.

I tried to "repair" live essentials but it didn't help. I also tried to remove and install all live essential programs and reinstall them once again to no avail (they all get the same error message except Live Writer).

The file in question, C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared\UXCore.dll only appears in one place. UXCore.dll is not anywhere else, and if I uninstall the programs it disappears and when I re-install them it shows up again. It is version 16.4.3522.0110 and 2.44MB is size, dated 1/10/2014 12:29PM

I removed the live suite again and manually deleted a common empty Live folder in program86 folder. then installed mail only. Same problem.

Please help me get back one of my favorite programs, Windows Live Mail.

When I either try to reset the ports on WLM, or add a new account, it takes forever for WLM to download the folders.

I noticed last week that all my sent messages were not in its folder.  I tried refreshing the ports or re-adding the account in WLM altoegether, but each time it says 'Downloading the dolfers that are avaialble' and seems to never complete.

I remember when I first added an account in WLM, all the emails started populating in the corresponding folders very rapidly.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

hi

I am not able to receive or send email

message reads error ox8000ccc90,

windows live mail error ox800420cd

can anyone please help

roy

When attempting to send an email with a hyperlink to google maps the link is split into two parts.  Google maps hyperlink begin with the same portion and the second half of the hyperlink contains the zoom level and gps coordinates.  The link covers two lines but it only makes the first portion a hyperlink.  When sending the same exact links in Mozilla Thunderbird the hyperlink works without any issues.
I too am getting the same message for months now it is so dam annoying I have tried solutions posted on here Why oh why cant I get a simple easy fix for this problem and why cant microsoft have someone I can actually speak to live to go though it with me not everybody is that computer literate

Errors 0x800ccc92 and 0x800ccc90.  I get email on one account but the other no.  I repaired the windows live essentials program, no change.  I checked each email properties and they are the same.  I have this issue on windows 7 and windows VISTA, two different computers.  It was working fine at least on the 14th but not on 18th.  No new programs installed.  It is a Protocol: POP3, port: 995, SSL: yes. On the email account, I clicked properties and re-entered all the info.  I also went to the top for accounts, and did the same but the name and password does not take.  I tried to remove the @.... just in case but no luck.

[Original title: Windows Live Mail]

Contacts disappeared from Windows Live Mail 2011, Build 15.4.3555.0308. Found Contacts on hard drive but cannot import into WLM because there is no IMPORT option available for Contacts.

I have a new PC with MS 8.1 and it is a 64 bit processor.  I have read conflicting views on this subject:

Will Windows Live Mail work on my 8.1 64 bit PC so I can get pop mail using my carrier or do I have to find another email client like Thunderbird?

Thanks
