I received an upgrade notice some months ago for windows live essentials. It automatically downloaded and installed. Now, my shortcuts to windows live 11 and messenger do not work. In fact, there are no shortcuts anywhere in my computer for windows live 12. In addition, the search feature from the start button cannot locate windows live mail, or live mail, or mail. I have, for all intents and purposes, no mail program on my computer to be found, anywhere. I'm confused by this.
I tried a bunch of times uninstalling, reinstalling, system-uninstalling, reinstalling, offline installing, you name it. Eventually I gave up and resigned to outlook.com but I'd really like to get my mail program and the rest of live essentials working because hey--they're essentials right?
Anyone have help?

Send and receive work fine any number of times. When I exit live mail and return, ports revert to default 25 and 110 then
send fails with error 0x800CCC0E. Change ports and all is ok until next restart.
I have recently had my Outlook Express transferred to Live Mail
All three accounts show but only one appears to receive new mail. All three accounts can send.
My email provider has checked accounts and all settings are correct. messages arrive but do not go into Inbox on two accounts.Any ideas of whats happening.
So i have had to use this old account as i cannot get into my other hotmail account.
Made it years ago so have no idea what my secret answer is, have tried numerous times to provide additional support to recover my account but the information was never enough. Cannot recover via a code to phone either. This is absolutely ridiculous, i just want to get into my email account!!! Why did Microsoft have to remove the linked accounts feature, i could easily check all of my accounts by signing into one account. Hotmail is a joke
