I have been trying to set up gmail to download into MS live Mail. I am using Windows 7

I get an error message each time saying Your  server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.

Details are:

Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

Configuration:

   Account: Gmail (my username)

   Server: imap.gmail.com

   Username: [my username]@gmail.com

   Protocol: IMAP

   Port: 993

   Secure(SSL): 1

   Code: 800ccc0e

Nothing I do seems to cure the problem. I can't send or receive emails unless I click on send / receive.

Can anyone suggest a fix?

Im helping my dad reset his password. Tried once but the linked that was sent expired, trued a second time and Im getting the message of having tried too many times. will i be able to reset it again? Account is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Currently  the  top  email  is  marked  as  read  when  you  move  to  another  email  .  Is  there  a  way  to  deactivate  this  ,  and  mark  read  only  after  opening  the  message  .  After  you  delete  or  read  a  message ,  and  the  machine  takes  you  to  the  next  message  ,  in  about    1  second  the  next  message  is  marked  as  read  and  you  haven't  even  looked  at  it  and  if  you  don't  want  to  read  it  now  you  have  to  go  back  in  and  mark  it  un-read .

When I launch my Windows Live Mail sometimes it says my Windstream mail account name or password is incorrect.

I have verified the information and it is correct.

Why does it work at times and not other times?

I have just installed Windows 8.1 and am using Windows Live Mail.  I have transferred my Contacts List from my previous (Windows XL) computer - and it now resides in the Contacts folder in Windows Live.

If sending new emails, how can I select names from  from the Contact list for the addressee (and CC and BCC) boxes ?

hi, I am getting my emails sent to the deleted folder. They are not visible until I open the deleted folder. the first one of the day usually goes into the inbox, but as soon as I read it it disappears into the deleted folder, any ideas please.

I only have one computer running windows 7 on internet explorer.

Hello, I'm having the same issues.  Here's what my error message says:

The connection to the server has failed.

Subject 'hello'
Server: 'smtp.comcast.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10013

Using the most recent Blackberry Desktop Manager for my device, I have been trying to copy the contact list FROM my Blackberry Bold 9700 to the contact list in my Windows 7 Live mail program. Desktop Manager offers two formatting options to export files from the Blackberry, Windows Outlook or Windows Contacts. Neither successfully transfers the contacts to Windows 7 Live Mail. Apparently the Blackberry contacts are neither .csv files or .vcf files. Blackberry personnel have suggested I talk to Windows technical people to learn "how to configure Wndows Live Mail for PST" (whatever that means).  Windows personnel have told me that since Windows Live Mail is freeware, neither Microsoft or Windows offers telephone support. At the moment I'm stuck, unable to transfer (copy or over-write) the contacts from the device to Windows Live Mail and would appreciated any suggestions from anyone who has done what appears to be and should be a simple task.

Windows 7 x64

WLM 2011 (because of category problem)

HP Probook 4520s

I am unable to reply to emails coming into WLM 2011 email client

I can read the emails, but cannot reply within the email client.

Error Message:  "Windows Live Mail Stopped Working - trying to restart".

It closes WLM, then restarts it, but still unable to reply to mail.

I have repaired WLE.

I have signed out and signed back in.

I have restarted my computer.

I am able to access email from internet browser (read and reply).

Did something happen to WLM 2011 in the last few week?
