Hello,

Problem started May 30 on both laptops - one HP - Vista, the other Acer - Win7.

The problem is with downloading messages from my Hotmail account. Only one or two of them being loaded after many attempts and always with errors shown like:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail account. To send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later. To get help from Windows Live Customer Support, go to http://support.live.com and click Windows Live Mail in the list of services.

Server Error: 0x80072EFF
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EFF.

My wife's la[top with Win7 works O.K.

Any idea?

Thank you

I have Windows Live Mail 2012, when I go to send an email it won't send it, I get an error message that says it doesn't recognize my email address.  What do I do to fix this problem?

Original title: Sending email

Hi!

I'm helping a friend with her computer and MS-account. When installing Windows 8.1 and in some other cases MS-account wants to verify your account by reentering your mail-adress and you should get a 4-digit code back to your mail. Now, my friend only has a Hotmail-adress registerd to her account, no other information. So when asking for verifying an e-mail adress she can only verify to her Hotmail. And the code doesn't show up. I suspect that you can't verify an account to itself so were stuck in a loop here. Does someone have a tips for this scenario?

I was attempting to send an email to a business and it kept rejecting the message with the following error message:

An unknown error has occurred.

Subject 'Dog Moms.net Web Inquiry'

Server Error: 451

Server Response: 451 4.2.0 8lFS1o0030GY4pM01lFS73 internal error

Server: 'smtp.atlanticbb.net'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC6A

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 8025

Secure(SSL): No

Does anyone have any suggestions for correcting this?

My account is blocked for some unknown reason.  I have changed my password and it still states my account is blocked.  Please unblock *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

I bought a new computer in January, and had Windows 7 installed on it. All elements of Windows Live Essentials worked perfectly.

Recently, the hard drive failed, and had to be replaced.  Once again, Windows 7 has been installed – but this time, Windows Live Mail doesn’t work.  The error message says it cannot be installed because “msmail.dll cannot be loaded”.

The technician has given me Mozilla Thunderbird as a replacement, but it doesn’t work for me.  How can I get Windows 7’s Live Mail back?

I have a problem with the sent items folder having gone missing. Sadly I use it quite a bit, but can't recover it. I've tried to scour the help sites and came across this. I believe I'm on windows mail, but I don't have any folders marked IMAP to click on to even begin this process. Please help

Windows Mail

  1. Click IMAP Folders.
  2. In the Show/Hide IMAP Folders dialog box, select a folder, and then do one of the following:
    1. To view the folder and download its contents, click Show.
    2. To hide the folder and prevent its contents from downloading, click Hide.
  3. New folders can now be accessed from the Folders list on the left side.
Windows Live Mail In order for IMAP to work correctly with Windows Live Mail, the settings are by default set to not assign mail folders correctly. You will need to create path for the folders under the IMAP tab on Account Properties. Be sure that the boxes for "Check new messages in all folders"and "Store special folders on IMAP server" are checked. The path for these folders are :
  1. Inbox: Inbox
  2. Drafts: Drafts
  3. Junk: Junk
  4. Deleted Items: Trash
  5. Sent Items: Sent
If the paths are set up accordingly, the other alternative so that Windows Live Mail can refresh the windows is to delete the mail account within Windows Live Mail (The removal of the email account will not affect your emails on the server.) and recreate the email account from scratch.
