We needed a new computer and had the Geek Squad convert our old data to the new laptop. We end up with the same data on multiple mails with different subject in the same folder. It appears to happen when we drag an email to another specific folder and picks up the data from the folder when moved and not from the original email.

Is there an issue between Windows Mail (vista) and Windows Live mail 2013 and how do you recommend it be corrected.

Windows Live Mail's Contacts list is not displaying all Contact data. For instance, the contacts I imported from XP's Address Book (the .wab file) contain data in the "Middle Name" field. I can see this data in WLM when I Edit a particular contact. However, Windows Live Mail does not allow me to include the "Middle Name" field as a column in its Contacts list display. ("Middle Name" is not listed as one of the fields that can be added on the "Add columns" dialog in WLM Contacts list display.)

I will be happy to send you screen shots of this problem if you will be kind enough to tell me to whom to send them.

I have 2016 Contacts on Windows Live Mail (Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

Is there a work-around" for this problem?

I have found problems similar to this being reported on OutLook since August 2012. How long does it take to get something simple like this fixed?

Thanks,

PS: Please don't apologize for the inconvenience this is causing me. Just tell me how to fix or get a fix for this problem from Microsoft. Thank you.

I'm using Live Mail to get messages from my 2 accounts.

Seems when I delete messages Live Mail gets from Gmail, the messages on Gmail are sent to the Gmail accounts "Trash" folder.

Is there a way to have WLM not to send them to Gmail's "Trash" folder and to delete them from Gmail's server forever??

Cannot open new or old messages received or previously sent messages on Windows Live Mail. When I click the message title to open, the following message comes up "A problem has occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again" The same message comes when you click the message again to try again. I also cannot send emails. The computer is operating on Windows 7. My address book is also now empty. I can access the info through my other devices not running on Windows Live Mail. This just happened when my computer shut down due to a power failure. When my computer was restarted, the problem occurred. How I can fix this problem and reaccess my address book.

1/    I use  8.1 - my sent items keep disappearing from live mail 2012, how can I stop this and/or retrieve them?

2/    I never had a problem with outlook express in the past, but cant use that now, an other alternatives recommended that don't have this issue please?

Thanks

Ken

"I need the password reset option enabled for my hosted mx domain on the Windows Live Admin center. My domain is binjaipark.com".

Today I got notifications from Live mail that my account needed to be re-authenticated for some reason and that I should re-enter my password. I didn't trust what was going on so I changed my password. After that was done I got another of the same notification, and my new password didn't work. Only after about five attempts did it accept my new password and log me in. When I tried to change the password for my account on my phone's e-mail client, the new password was not accepted, nor does the old password work.

I'm extremely confused by this and I'm worried Live mail might lock me out of my account again at any moment. Does anyone know what's going on here?

It might be that today I've sent about a dozen nearly-identical e-mails to participants in a scientific study and Microsoft interprets this as spamming. But that's never happened to me before. What's the deal here?

Installed on Windows 7 OS.  LOVE IT BTW!  I often add domains to my blocked domain list.  ALL of a sudden this process has become painfully slow.  I can say my list is quite long as I receive tons of spam.  Might my list be too populated?  This started suddenly.  If I recall, (somewhat feeble mind here) I was poking around and I believe I set some kind of "Windows 7 emulation mode" within Live Mail (or not :-))  Coincidentally, this is when this issue arose.  Any assistance is appreciated!
