I keep getting the following error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (danaterryc) account.

Server Error: 0x800488E5
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488E5

and I have lost all my contacts.

HELP!!

I've been having exactly the same problem for the last few days. I can't send or receive email with Live Mail from my Hotmail account. Other pop3 accounts work fine and I can log directly into my Hotmail account and send and receive email, but when I use Live Mail I get the following error:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail account.

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

I tried dropping and re-adding the account in Live Mail, but it didn't make any difference. When I check my online activity report in Hotmail it shows that I'm connecting successfully from Internet Explorer, but clearly, I'm not. All of these attempts resulted in the error above:

Successful sign-in (14 events)Today 8:52 PM - 9:23 PMUnited States

I have two PC's running Windows Live Mail and would like them both to use a common data file on One Drive so both PC's have common email messages.  I can relocate the Windows Live Mail Store Folder for one PC onto the One Drive and it works fine.  However, when I try to change the Store Folder on the second PC to use the new one on the One Drive I get an error message telling me the folder is not empty and I must create a new empty folder on the One Drive for the second PC.  This second folder would leave me with different email on each PC.

Can you help me or tell me I cannot achieve what I want to do?  I have Windows 7 on both PC's.

I had been using Windows Live Mail 2011 for many years. It was part of a package, I think, called Windows Essentials (included Family Safety, Writer, etc.) Last month I had to reset my pc to factory settings.  Now, I cannot find Windows Live Mail 2011. In fact, I am seeing information that is saying Microsoft is no longer allowing its use. Of course I have the current Outlook.com, and I am aware that it can now accept multiple email programs (as I had with Mail 2011).  Can I have the additional Mail program or Live Mail with Windows Vista now? Where do I download it or do I just need to set Windows Mail as the default program on Vista now? Will everything from Mail Live 2011 integrate/transfer to a current Mail program? I really want that same look and format as Windows Mail 2011.

I use msn.com email. I get a message saying "there's a problem sending emails from my account. Check with email provider"

Has anyone else had trouble with the calendar continually trying to update? I have to tell it I'm offline or else the continuous updates prevent email from receiving new mail.
Does my PC have to be on in order to run a scheduled scan on my PC?

Dear Sir,

I can't sign in at hotmail. Help me please.

My email is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Thank you very much.

Best Regard.

When I go to set my default email client I choose Windows Live Mail, click on OK, and I open it up again and it has switched back to "use my current default email client".  Why won't it stay switched?  From what I understand, Windows 7 doesn't have an email client already installed, so I don't have a "current default email client" What am I missing?
