Something changed in my Windows Live Mail overnight.  Messages are received, but in about one second disappear from my inbox.  I can't find them in any folder.  If I go to outlook.com, the message is still in the outlook.com inbox, unread.  Clicking on Send/Receive in Windows Live Mail does not retrieve the message. What changed?

I have perused the forums, backed up my mail and contacts, uninstalled Windows Live, edited the registry, and rooted around and expurgated all previous portions of Windows Live Essentials. I am using the full install package, and working offline with virus protection and firewall off. I  still cannot get it to install. Who has the definitive answer on how to solve this issue? I am using 32 bit Windows 7 and trying to install WLE 2012.
I have windows live mail on windows 8.1 & explorer 11 and when I send an email the From(name)(my email address) is shown this way.  I would like to get rid of the email address that is shown when the recipient gets it.  Any way?

My laptop died and when I access my LiveMail from my new laptop my folders no longer appear.  Assuming those folders were stored locally on my dead machine's hard drive, how do I import them to my new laptop?

Also, is there a way that I can set this up so I can access all my folders from any PC?  I can access my inbox from any PC, but not my custom folders.

Thanks for the help!

Suddenly my windows live mail account no longer shows that I have replied to a message.  Suddenly it no longer shows that email has been read.

I can't recover a hacked hotmail account, I've filled in the form many times and it just gives me the same automated response each time saying can't verify ownership. I then went to customer support and guess what! they told me to fill in another form. They give you the same generic replies too, it's so annoying!

why is it impossible to recover an email account? why is the support so useless? you just get sent around in a loop. my yahoo account got compromised a while back and all I had to do was go on a live chat with support, verify my identity and boom, got my account in no more than 10-15mins.

not the several days of submitting the same info over and over and told it's wrong by a generic email, don't you guys keep stuff on record? oh wait, you can't say because of the privacy rubbish.

what's the point of a recovery system that doesn't recover anything?

I had to reinstall my windows 7 home premium from scratch.

Same machine, new WD HDD .

I tried to install windows live mail which I previously used on the same machine, I would get the following message...

couldn't install mail
One of the installation files appears to be corrupted
Error: 0x80070002

Tried again and agail, rebooted, to no avail.

Tried to installl live mail 11, got a message that a newer version was already installed.

Realized that indeed there was  a C:\Program Files\Windows Mail  with a WinMail.exe which I tried to execute, Nothing.

Impossible to delete.

No entry in Control Panel/ Programs and features.

I need my mail.

I travelled interstate and could receive but not reply to emails in Live Mail. Thus, I set up Gmail and was able to reply with that. When I returned home, only about half of my emails arrive in Live Mail, whilst 100% goes to Gmail. How can I get may emails back into Live Mail?

Windows Live Mail was working fine until 6/17/'14 but now it says it is " tasking" to connect to my web mail site and the status is "executing", however, I cannot send or receive emails and there is no error message to address or anymore details. When I shut down my laptop, I get a message that I have a task host at work and should go back and close it and save files before I shut down but there is no way to do this and so I have to choose, "shut down anyway"?????????
