I am Running Windows Mail 2012 on Windows 10 Professional 64bit. I want to use Carbonite to backup my Contacts. Where is that information stored on my PC?

In reply to Juzar_Ali's post on March 30 2016:

To get better clarity on the issue please answer the questions below;

  1. What is the current version of Windows Live Mail installed on your PC?
  2. What is the current operating system installed on your PC?
  3. Did you made any recent changes to your PC?
  4. Do you face the similar issue when you access your account through web browser?
  5. Do you get any error message when you try to send an email?

Please get back to us with the above information so that we can assist you further.

I have the same problem as William Conti and my answers to Juzar_Ali's questions are as follows.

1. Windows Live Mail 2012.

2. Windows 7

3. No changes have been made to my PC or my wife's PC. (she is having same problem)

4. Access through web browser appears to work.

5. " The message could not be sent

the settings on your outgoing email(SMTP) server may need to be reconfigured

please contact your email server provider

      server error 450

server response 450 4.4.0 relaying temporally denied

      cannot resolve PTR

      server: mail.TPG.com.au

windows live mail error id: Ox800ccc79

       Protocol: SMTP"

I sent a copy of error message to email server provider (tpg.com.au) who suggested that I contact Windows Live Mail Support Team.

Could you please help?

Robert Benzie

If you are getting error messages that you cannot send or receive emails or the server has timed out and have tried to change your settings, the help files have been incorrect regarding the ports to use. I changed my incoming port to 25 and the outgoing to 110. uncheck the ssl box for outgoing mail. all the other instructions are correct. always use your full email address whenever asked for your name. I did this 4-8 and so far everything works.

I have used Windows Live Mail 2011 for years as my email client without any problems whatsoever.  Today, out of the blue, I start getting this error message:

There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on and how to fix it?  If Microsoft is doing away with Windows Live Mail, what are we supposed to use now for our email?

[Original subject: WINDOWS LIVE CALENDAR]

I have an email acct through cox.net and I view the emails using Windows Live. I added a new email account under outlook.com. I added this e-mail acct to windows live. I used the same pop and smpt server addresses that are currently used for my cox.net account. I see a tab for the new acct on windows live. When I attempt up get e-mails the program constantly prompts me for username and password but it will not accept my password. Did I add this new acct incorrectly?

to open and update windows defender  in windows 10, i receive 0x80070426 error code!

what can i do?

Windows 8.1, Windows Live Mail:  I keep getting duplicate emails.  This stopped for a while because someone told me how to delete what seemed to be a duplicate of a gmail account, but I can't remember how this was done.  Why should it happen again when I've already deleted it once?

Finding all received mails using the 'before xx/xx/xxxx date' tick box returns the same list as when using the 'after xx/xx/xxxx date' tick box. Am I missing the point?
