I'm using Family Safety Filter and am running into a usability problem. Older members of the household will turn the filter off to temporarily allow unfettered access either for themselves, or to grant temporary access to a otherwise forbidden site (e.g. youtube). They then forget to turn the filter back on.
Is there a setting I haven't found to allow the filter to be disabled temporarily?
Given that no password is requested when turning the filter on, can the filter be started from the command line, so that I could attach it to a scheduled task?
I appreciate any suggestions.

Mail was working fine. But suddenly it won't update to the correct date. Tells me its sync'd, but it's days behind. Any ideas?

I had been using Outlook Express in XP Mode for some time. I have had to switch to Windows Live Mail and the contact list there. Some of the people on my current contact list in WLMail are no longer there and/or (in one case) is deceased. In Outlook Express an address book was used for placing e-mail addresses in singly and in groups.
I have not been able to determine if Windows Live Mail has an address book in which to do this. IF it does, where do I find it and/or how do I access it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jerry
P.S. - I'm not sure if I'm getting this into the correct group. Would the moderator please see that it is place where it belongs. Thnk you.
Moved to windows live mail
Hi,
I am running windows 8.1 on intel i7 laptop. I used to use outlook for my mails. Now switched to windos live mail. I have noticed that the mails I received the UK pound sign is replaced by "J". I am using uk setup and uk keyboard. if I view the email in any other system including android or on Outlook I can see the pond sign. How do I make the mail to didplay correctly?
Thanks in advance
I am using 8.1, Live Mail and can access News and can set up an account but when I try to download News Groups Iget the following error-
SSL0
Live Mail Error ID 480
Code 800ccca2
Various searches indicated that either Virus or Firewall was causing the problem I have tried stopping each of them individually and even all at once with out any success.
