After upgrading to windows 10 from 8.1, I cannot seem to get the live mail app to sync.  I can get to the internet with no issue and can access my email account via web address.  When I try to use live mail, I get the above error message.  All settings are correct in windows email.  Email is working correctly on my mobile device.    Not sure if I should delete the account and then re-create it or what.  Not quite sure what to do next......

I also noticed I have an outlook account.  I do not use outlook and the email button is turned off in this account.  Can I delete this account without creating issues?

Appreciate any help anyone can provide.

My windows mail freezes as soon as I open and go thru my emails.  Both Store and Calendar do not open.

Appreciate help on how to fix these please.

Thank you.

It used to be possible to send multiple photos that would automatically be resized and could be sent using Windows Live Mail on my computer (Win7).  Now when I go into my Photos Folder, select five photos, select Email from the top bar and select Attach, my Windows Live Mail program opens, displaying the photos but a new large window displays in the center of the screen wanting me to "SIGN IN TO WINDOWS LIVE MAIL".  I'm already in my windows live mail program on my computer so why is it asking me to sign in again and what email address am I supposed to sign into?  Am I supposed to sign into my Hotmail email address?

If I ignore that pop up window and X out of it, I can continue to fill in the TO:, SUBJECT:, etc. lines and type my message but when I try to send the email, it will not send.  It stays in my Outbox and an Error message displays Titled:  Windows Live Mail with the message that an Error has occurred and that I should delete the photos and try again.  the Error Code is:

Windows Live Mail Error ID:  0x8CCC0003

Can someone tell me how to correct this problem and why it is asking me to sign in to another Window Live Mail Account?

Thank you very much

Hello!  So I have a question regarding sorting with Windows Live Mail 2012.  I want to have my flagged messages stay at the top of my inbox AND have conversations grouped together.  However I cannot find a way to do this.  It appears that only one or the other is possible.  Is there a way that I can do both?  Thank you!
I upgraded 10 days ago from 8.1 to10. My email program shuts down mid stroke . It will open again but shuts down again and again after5 secs.
This is kind of weird.  Just upgraded to Windows 10, like some of it.  Always used Outlook for email but trying to use mail.  I set up my 3 email accounts, and they downloaded mail.  Then they stopped doing it.  When I looked at account settings, all 3 passwords were double the length I expected - as if they had been overwritten without deleting.  So I typed in the passwords and saved them.  Ok, but as soon as I exited Mail and reentered the same thing had happened, and continues to happen.  What's going on?

In 2011, I lost my main hard drive and all of the data on it.  Although I had a backup, I was unable to locate it.  Well now I have.  I'd like to import all of the storage folders into the current incarnation of Windows Live Mail (2012) I now have installed on my computer.  I should say that at that time, all of my email accounts used pop rather than imap, and all of the messages were deleted from the server after they downloaded. All of the messages were sorted into various local storage folders using rules I created to do that.

Is there a tutorial somewhere about how I can import these folders?

how to check and fix my computer

Hi all,

Apparently our situation has been overlooked when it comes account verification...

My (Mexican) wife and I (Belgian) are moving quite often for my work. Every time we arrive in a new country, our accounts get blocked and we are asked to fill in a form to retrieve them. Unfortunately for me, I only use my account rarely, when I return to Belgium to meet with my friends and cannot get through the test. And unfortunately for my wife, she mainly uses her account to receive important information (bank for example) and can also not get through the test. Moreover, my wife's notifications get sent to my blocked hotmail account.

Seems impossible to recover our accounts and even if we do, they will most probably get blocked when we move to the next country ...

Where is the time that a simple security question was enough? Where is the time when we could at least send an email to an admin instead of having no other choice then creating a new email address to be able to post our problem on a forum?

I understand this is for security purposes, but the system is so severe that we cannot access our own accounts anymore.

Can Microsoft please look into this and come up with a solution?

I would suggest one: if you are an admin, you can probably see my name and surname. With that you will probably see that I have another account which has been blocked. If you can then take a look in my emails, you will see the notification which was sent for my wife's blocked account. With that information you should be able to unblock both our accounts and hopefully also change the settings which would block our accounts every time we change country. Once solved the account I am sending this message from can be deleted.

I hope you can solve this as it would be quite a trouble having to create new accounts.

In advance thank you!
