For no apparent reason my Windows 7 Live Mail stopped sending & receiving.

I noticed that the menu bar button read 'Go Online' instead of the normal 'Go Offline'. Clicking 'Go Online' produced the normal call out box seeking confirmation that I wanted to go online. However, clicking OK achieved nothing.

I also tried the icon in the status bar with the same result. Callout box appears - but nothing happens

Very grateful for any suggestions
Many thanks William

The numerous sites are ones I am familiar with and have been without problem previously; and to which I require access.  Searching for the site brings the same response.

I have recently, on advice from PC Tools, uninstalled Spyware Doctor and replaced it with Norton (which I have never liked) and wonder if this may be the cause.    I would appreciate assistance.

I have synced both my gmail and outlook accounts with my Windows Live application.   I can receive emails on both accounts AND I can also send messages from my gmail account.   However, when I go to send an email from my hotmail account, I get the following error: Windows Live Mail can't connect to the Hotmail server. To send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later.  Subject 'technotest' Server Error: 5102 Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00006.    Any way someone can help?

Original Title: Hotmail / outlook server issue with Windows Live

Live is making me crazy.  When I send an e mail, the recipient will be notified that they are getting a communication from someone who is in my address book, not from me.  I am at a loss to figure out what is going on.  Can someone help, or should I just ditch it and go back to gmail?
I read thru many of the other posts with print options and I have already repaired Windows Live Mail 2012 and restarted the computer. This did not fix the problem. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I need to send a very large file, 40 pages, in pdf, by e-mail.  It won't go.  Any ideas on how I can get this to send?  I had to scan in all 40 pages and that takes a long time, only to have it not work.

I am using windows live mail on a  64bit windows 8

Original title: trying to do a group send in the BCC field in Windows Live Mail. Used to work. but recently quit working. Why?? Is MS doing anything to fix this??I'm not the only one.

I am using the latest version of Live Mail.

I create the "category" which is the group distribution list.

Now we create an email, or forward an email, and type the category name into the BCC field.

when I click on send, the curser goes to the TO field , and gives me an error message that I need to type a name into the field to be able to send.

Is Microsoft aware of this problem, and why don't they fix it!!!

I need a solution!!!

NOTE: this used to work fine, but it would appear an update to some FILE has killed this feature of Live Mail 2012.
