I recently started to get an error message after my computer startup indicating that there was a problem with the Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant.

Error Message:

There was a problem that caused parts of the Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant to be disabled. You might not be able to sign in to Windows Live in some programs. The problem may have been caused by a program that was recently installed. For more information, please go to:http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkId=144689

There was a go to address in the error message which simply took me to my Live Mail (i.e. not much help there). I then started searching the web for comments and solutions for this problem. The solution that was recommended here was to uninstall Essentials and then re-install. I followed the uninstall instructions and then downloaded a new version of Windows Essentials 2012. The new install did not succeed. I have tried many things but the bottom line is that Windows Essentials does not install. I have 3 or 4 email accounts under Windows Live Mail some of which I can not access now. I really need some in-depth help on how to re-install Windows Essentials and what the reason is that it currently does not install
