When I opened my Windows Live Mail today, I received the following error message:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (ravkarp) (1) account.
Server Error: 0x800488EB

I am having the same problem. Just started Yesterday. Repairing Live Mail Essentials did nothing. I can log into Outlook mail on-line just fine, but it will not sync with Live Mail.
I have an extensive Off line file folder system that would be next to impossible to rebuild if I had to delete the account and re-import to a new one.
I need to find a more reliable Email client. This problem has happened multiple times over the years and I need a solution to FIX the problem, not dump the account and start over with a new one.
