I know there are similar posts relating to this but my problem is slightly different.

I have a 'Windows Live Mail 2012' mail client synced to the new Windows 10 mail account. Until recently I  had a Yahoo mail account also  synced to my Windows account. After the reports of Yahoo accounts (including mine) being hacked I decided to delete my Yahoo account completely.

I also deleted my Yahoo mail account.

My problem is that whenever someone sends an email to my Windows account  I get that mail to my Windows account but it also wants to send a copy to my deleted Yahoo account.

The sender then gets the following :

Mail delivery failed : returned to sender

The following addresses failed:

*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
    host mx-eu.mail.am0.yahoodns.net [188.125.69.79]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
    554 delivery error: This user doesn't have a yahoo.co.uk account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) [-5] - mta1107.mail.ir2.yahoo.com

The above is a test email I sent to myself . *** Email address is removed for privacy *** was my Yahoo address.

So it seems that somewhere in my system Yahoo is still lurking. How to I get rid of it.

I hope you can understand the seemingly rambling nature of the above.
