I am using version 2.6 because I want to save edited videos to my Sony TRV22E camcorder.

I am using a ThinkPad T61 running Win7.

I can get MM 2.6 to create and save to my camcorder if the only content is .JPG files but if I try with .WMV content then I get the picture you can see in the screenshot. The PC works away at the short video for quite a long time (as shown in the Task Manager) but does eventually stop. There is never any progress in creating the video. (except when using .JPG)

I used Freemake Video Converter to convert my imported content to .WMV format.

What am I doing wrong?
