I am having a problem with WLM on a new Dell PC using Win 7 professional. I also have another Dell with the same OS Running WLM that is working fine. When I configured the new WLM account in the new machine, I set the General ,Servers, Security, and Advanced parameters up with the same values as the working machine. Here is my problem:
When I start up WLM in the new machine, I get an error message “The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. The certificate’s CN name does not match the passed value. Do you want to continue using this server? (yes or no)” I have to respond “yes” to be able to use the mail.
I spoke with Dell Premium Support who connected to my machine to verify my settings and found nothing wrong. They came to the conclusion that I could not have two PC’s using the same WLM system. Is that true? The only thing I can think of is the possibility I used a different password when entering the account data that was entered in the other machine. In one instance, when I tried different passwords, the working machine stopped working as well. I had to change the passwords in the working machine to get it working again, so they seem to be sensitive to what passwords I use. My question is this: Do I have to use the same password that I sign on to my AT&T Yahoo account for both email accounts? I am trying to figure out what is going wrong with the failing certificates in the new machine. I am afraid to monkey with the working machine so that both machines become unable to use WLM
