I have been receiving notices from Microsoft for months now indicating that WLM as of June 30 will no longer be able to send and receive emails etc. They indicated that I should switch to the new "Outlook Mail" when available or the mail app in Windows 10.

To date (Aug 2nd) WLM is still functioning with no problems what so ever? Was this a ploy to get everyone switched to the Win 10 mail app or to Outlook Mail? I would have gladly switched to Outlook Mail however Microsoft failed to provide a means of transferring my contacts and Storage Folders from WLM to the new platform??

What is really going on here? I have downloaded EM Client in the event that WLM stopped working but I really do not need two email clients on my desktop? Not a happy camper!!!!

Can someone shed some light on this situation. Were the notices sent by MS nothing but a scare tactic???
