once WLM has accessed email account it does not seem to care about checking password following that initial authorization (test yourself by changing password in properties, applying and then do send/receive...it will still execute OK)
I determined this accidently as I needed to create new password for a forgotten one....I did this on my iPad through MyBell and this morning when I came down to my PC (which was still on)....a) I was surprised I did not see any errors related to failure retrieving emails for that account when the account most definitely did not have the correct password set up for it.
I tested as per above to confirm suspicion and then signed out and back in again.....that was when account access failed due to password error. I just went ahead and updated it to the new/current.
NOTE...I make mention of it here solely because that seems like a security breach of sorts where if some person/program etc had unauthorized access to your account, that changing your password would NOT block access to account while access was still active. That would suggest to me that authorization is not re-tested when you do send/receive...otherwise it should FAIL !!
jmho...if nothing else be forewarned of moderate exposure in some instances.
fyi...the bell.net email account uses outlook email
