At the moment there is lots of confusion about this.
What i understand:
MS will migrate all Outlook.com accounts (including MSN, @live etc.) to Office365.
Generally a very good idea to put everything into better sync.
However Office365 will not Support the DeltaSync protocol anymore.
If somebody (like myself und thousands of others) use WLM with many eMail accounts, and one Outlook.com account to synchronize contacts, calendar, and to use the photomail Feature,
all These abilities will be lost once the account is migrated to Office365.
WindowsLiveMail will then no longer sync calendars or contacts, and the photomail Feature will stop working.
Most important is the calendar and contact sync Feature.
The question (and i hope MS does listen) -
will there be a plugin of update for WindowsLiveMail to make it use EAS instead of Deltasync?
Or some other solution at the backend, that will make WLM continue to work?
I find this so important because in the Feature richness there still is no real alternative to WindowsLiveMail, especially for Windows7 users.
So what is the plan? Will WLM really suddenly stop working
or are you planning a Workaround?
Glad for any replies and hoping that WLM will not loose ist most important Features.
greetings
