I must have screwed something up because my Windows Photo Viewer (WPV) is simply not to be found on my Windows 7 HP laptop.

My file associations are all set properly. So for instance, jpg files are set to open with Windows Photo Viewer.

But when I right click on a common picture with an ext such as jpg or gif, whatever, and select "Open with" and then select "Windows Photo Viewer", a little circle rotates for a few seconds and then nothing else happens.

I've done all the SCF checks, run windows updates a gazillion times. Nothing seems to work.

Is WPV part of Windows Essentials?

Should I uninstall Windows Essentials and re-install it?

Many thanks.
