I've scanned a bunch of photos from a scanner to a file. Some have multiple pictures, some only 4x6 photo. ALL of them cannot be edited in Windows Photo Gallery. Original scan to PC is a Windows 7. So I saved the folder of photos and brought them to a Windows 8 pc and it's the same.
They are in JPG format.
None are marked for read only or have any other special permissions.
I updated Windows just in case it needed repairing (a suggestion from another post said to repair Gallery).
But since both PC's act the same, I'm beginning to wonder if there is a file or pixel limitation? I cannot find documentation on that, if it is the case.
I did scan using 1200 dpi to get the best quality I could (old photos need help).
All of the edit options are not working. Auto adjust is dark but it does nothing when you try to use it. The other options, crop, red eye, retouch, straighten, Noise reduction, color and exposure are all greyed out.
Help please? Trying to get a memorial service together using these photos.
