When I record using my webcam in movie maker, the preview and recording go fine. 

When I click on stop, it prompts me to save the file, which I do.  When I am returned to the editing screen, all it shows is a blank video - i.e. no sound, no video. 

I have manually cheeked - the recording WORKS - I can open the file using other media players. 

I tried just recording what I needed to, but movie maker freezes when I try to save movie. 

I have repaired the installation.  I have confirmed that both the webcam and microphone are working.  How do I make Movie Maker, work?

(I have used movie maker for years - I know how to use the program, I have never experienced this before - have tried a restart, have tried running in admin mode)
