I worked for hours on editing a video, and saved it when I was finished. I then tried to save it in a video format, but my computer has been messed-up and it was basically frozen, so I shut it off. When I turned the computer back on, it would not allow me to bring up any of my saved work from the project (I had saved it twice as different files along the way). I can see the file name(s) in the Start menu and in Documents, but it will not bring up the file in the program. An error message comes up saying that the file might not be compatible or might be corrupted. I followed the link from the message and it lead me to a thing that instructed people with the problem to "Repair Windows Essentials"--which I did, but it did not help. I don't understand why if I saved my work before the problem, it is inaccessible. I tried opening it in other programs too, but it could not be read/recognized and/or was incompatible. I really don't want to have to do the entire project over again....If anyone has helpful information on how I might be able to access my file or fix the problem, help would be appreciated.
