Hello, I just downloaded the Windows Essentials 2012 which had Movie Maker 2012 in it. I previously had Windows Live Movie Maker, which worked fine. When I try to open Movie Maker I get the message "Sorry, Movie Maker can't start. Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements before trying to start Movie Maker again, and then try to update the driver for your video card if Movie Maker still doesn't start." I checked the system requirements and I meet them all.

You need Windows 7 32 or 64-bit, 1GB of RAM, a 2.4GHz processor, IE7, an internet connection, and a graphics or video card that supports DirectX 9.0 (or later).

I have Windows 7 64-bit, 8 GB of RAM, a 3.10GHz processor, IE11, an internet connection and an Intel HD Graphics Family video card with DirectX 11.

I checked for a driver update for my video card and it was up to date (driver version 8.15.10.2291)

I also spent an hour and a half on the phone with Microsoft and the only conclusion the support staff had was to do a system restore to a previous version and continue to use Windows Live Movie Maker.

If there is anyone who knows how to fix this problem or why it won't work, please respond.

Thanks
