Hi,

I have a 125MB video I am trying to import into Windows Movie Maker (WMM) but am running into Error 0x87160139. The clip that appears when I import is 00:07:00 long and is blank, though the clip thumbnail shows yellow triangles with black exclamation marks. When right-clicked, an option comes up to "Fix item" which, when clicked pops up the message:

Do you want to remove "filename.wmv" from the project? The file might be corrupted or in a format that Movie Maker doesn't recognize. This movie can't be saved or published until filename.wmv is removed from the project. Error 0x87160139.

I have:

• removed it and restarted
• made sure I'm running the newest version of WMM
• repaired the program 

Please help! :)
