Hi, I've been using Windows Movie maker(i think it is 2011) for years now and all of a sudden I cannot open it on my computer. I go to start menu, click on Movie Maker(like I always do and have always done) and it says:
One or more of the effects files that Movie Maker needs
in order to run is corrupted. Please repair Movie Maker by clicking
"Uninstall a program" in Control Panel, and then double-clicking "Windows Live Essentials".
The problem with this is that I want to keep Movie Make 2011. I have followed the instruction and it gave me Movie Maker 2012 and now I can't use any video I"ve already recorded b/c they are .mov and I already have a project in progress. I don't want to upgrade to Movie Maker 2012 b/c I don't want to have to convert my video files everytime I video. I have restored my laptop back to a previous restore point before I downloaded Movie Maker 2012 so now I'm back to the original message that the effect file is corrupt.
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
