Why has MS tried to remove this from every download site going ?

Surely - if it aint broke - it should have been left - until the replacement is ready ?

It was deemed too old in January 2017 with no replacement, planned for another 12 months,,

Why ?

ps I managed  to find and download WMM 6 to run on my Win 10 PC
