I'm a video editing virgin-I received a video in this format:NAME-video-1.mp4  It's too long and needs multiple edits 

throughout. I transferred it to Windows Movie Maker and am confused. How do I remove a section, i.e. .55-1.09, and piece it together without it.

Please advise.
