Prior to today, I was using an older version of Windows Movie Maker and everything was fine.  In an effort to get outlines on my captions, I upgraded to Movie Maker 12 today and it has been awful since then.  First it is unbelievably slow.  If I click on a photo (I am making a video of about 200 photos) it takes 20 seconds or so for that photo to pop up so I could edit the caption.  Bigger issue - when I click the play button, it does images for random lengths of time and it doesn't even put the images in the proper order.  It is totally crazy.

I have done the Windows Essentials upgrades and I tried to clean up my entire hard drive.  I did the DirectX clean up to make sure everything was up to do.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE:  I just tried to create a short video with about 20 images.  When I tried to watch the video with Movie Maker I had the same problems - irregular time lengths, pictures out of order, etc.  However, I created an actual movie file and it looks correct.  This doesn't help creating a 200 file video - just some additional information for problem solving.
