When I open WMP, it's just a blank rectangle that does nothing for hours (I tried leaving it alone, hoping it would solve itself)

I tried the troubleshooter, but all that did was reset the settings to default which didn't do anything.

I've never had this kind of problem before and have no idea what to do.
