I have a problem with the Mail app on Surface RT running Win RT 8.1.

Background

I am receiving emails on which a number of particpants are copied in (around 12), all of whom reply at varying stages to the chain.  The emails are, I believe, quite large in size (being quite long).

Problem

I get a notfication when I receive these emails.  I then try to load the Mail app to view them.  It loads, hangs, and then closes.  If one of the large emails is the newest, it appears on the opening screen, although often will only partially load (i.e. the latter part of that message and the preceding chain do not load).  On occasion, it cuts off horizontally through a line of text (i.e. only the top half of the letters in the sentence are shown).

I cannot select of switch to other emails, nor open, move or delete emails from the Mail app at all.

The only solution I have found is to uninstall Mail, log into to my web (Hotmail) account, delete the offending emails (there is no problem viewing or amending these emails online), and re-install Mail.  It then works fine until I receive another one of these email chains.

Some (but not all) of the emails are also copied to my work account, and I can view and manage them without issue on my blackberry.

Anybody have any idea what's up with the Mail app and what I can do to fix it?  It's pretty much useless to me at the moment.

TIA

B
